Karen wore a bespoke Amelia Gray gown in white silk satin and silk organza for her wedding at Thicket Priory. Elegant, light and beautifully understated, her gown was created through the Atelier Experience and designed entirely around her.

Karen first came to see me in October 2022 to begin the journey of creating her bespoke wedding gown. Through the Atelier Experience, I designed an Amelia Gray couture gown especially for her, created in beautiful white silk satin and silk organza.

Karen married at Thicket Priory on 10 June 2023, on a gorgeous sunny day, with an outdoor ceremony in the grounds. I had the pleasure of being there on the wedding morning to dress Karen and help her bridal party prepare for the day. Seeing Karen finally wearing the gown we had created together was a very special moment and a lovely conclusion to her Atelier journey.

My Journey: I first met Patricia in October 2022 when we began creating my wedding dress for my marriage to John at Thicket Priory. As an Atelier bride, my gown was designed especially for me from the very beginning. Watching it develop from an idea into my finished Amelia Gray gown made the whole experience incredibly personal. When our wedding weekend finally arrived, Patricia joined me at Thicket Priory and was there on the morning of the wedding to dress me and help my bridesmaids get ready. We were blessed with a gorgeous sunny day and married outside in the beautiful grounds, surrounded by our family and friends. Having Patricia there after sharing the journey of creating my dress made that final part of the experience particularly special.

Wedding Dress: Karen's bespoke gown was created under Amelia Gray, Patricia's couture label, as a true sketch-to-dress Atelier design. Made in white silk satin and silk organza, the gown featured a beautifully clean V-neck bodice and an elegant A-line silhouette. Layers of silk organza brought softness and movement to the skirt, flowing into a graceful train. The contrast between the luxurious satin and ethereal organza gave the gown its understated elegance — beautifully simple to look at, while entirely bespoke in its creation.
