Nicola wore Louisa, a beautiful Patricia Barclay wedding gown, when she married Adam at Chevin Country Park Hotel. Surrounded by her bridesmaids in custom-made pale gold chiffon dresses, this image captures the joy of a perfect spring wedding day.

I first met Nicola with her mum, and I remember putting her into Louisa and thinking almost immediately, that’s her dress. Nicola quite rightly wanted to look elsewhere before making such an important decision, but her mum and I both had a feeling she would be back. And she was.

The journey then grew beyond Nicola’s gown as I created custom-made dresses for her four bridesmaids, Jo, Laura, Gem and Ash. By the wedding day, we had created the complete bridal look around Nicola and the people she had chosen to stand beside her.

Looking back at these photographs all these years later brings back very happy memories of a very special bride.

My Journey: I first met Patricia in April 2011 with my mum, and from the very beginning she seemed to know exactly what I was looking for. The first dress I tried on was called Louisa, and Patricia immediately said it was my dress. Although I visited a few other bridal boutiques afterwards, both my mum and Patricia knew I would come back to the very first gown I had tried. They were right. Louisa was everything I wanted in a wedding dress and made me feel beautiful from the moment I put it on. To make the day even more special, Patricia also designed custom-made dresses for my bridesmaids, Jo, Laura, Gem and Ash. Made in soft pale gold chiffon with delicate floral detailing on the shoulder, they complemented my gown perfectly. Looking back, I couldn't have imagined a more perfect wedding day, surrounded by family, friends and the people who meant the most to us.
