Michele knew she had found her perfect dress when she came to see me. Her gown was custom-made especially for her, and we also created dresses for her bridesmaids, Hannah and Christy, bringing the bridal party together for the day.

What I love most looking back at Michele’s photographs is just how happy she looks. Her dress moves with her rather than wearing her — exactly as a wedding dress should.

• Wedding Dress: Michele wore a custom-made Patricia Barclay gown with a fitted bodice, asymmetric shoulder detail and a wonderfully fluid skirt formed from layers of softly ruffled fabric. It was a dress designed for movement — and this photograph captures that beautifully.

• Bridesmaid Gown: Michele’s bridesmaids, Hannah and Christy, wore custom-made Patricia Barclay gowns in soft purple chiffon. Their flowing silhouettes and floral shoulder detailing complemented Michele’s gown beautifully while allowing each part of the bridal look to have its own identity.
